Erie Brewing Company - Misery Bay IPA

Poured from the bottle into a standard pint glass. Initial appearance is a nice golden brown/amber color with a slightly off white head that dissipates quickly and leaves little lacing. Aroma is initially of piney hops with slight malty hint trickling in. Good bitterness and piney hops flavors and a medium body in the mouth lead to a good, drinkable IPA.

Terrapin Brewing Company - Big Hoppy Monster

Really looking forward to this limited release from Terrapin. Really enjoy most red ales, so this was a special treat.

Poured from the bottle into a standard pint glass, darker ruby color that was clear and had about one finger of head that dissipated quickly into a crown on the beer. Hoppy aroma that leans toward citrusy grapefruit, roasted malt aromas come out after some warming. Taste mimics the aroma, with a good malty backbone lending some balance to an otherwise very hoppy ale. Good carbonation that tickles the tongue without overwhelming the feel. Very good beer overall that I could enjoy all evening.

Stone Brewing Company - Cali - Belgique IPA

Picked this one up a few weeks ago at a local beer store. Then saw it again this afternoon on tap at the Vine Street Pub (Mountain Sun Brewing) so when I got home I decided that this was definitely going to be enjoyed this evening.

Poured from the bottle into a rounded tumbler nice golden color with a thick, sticky, barely offwhite lacy head that really sticks to the glass. Great aromas of hops initially but transitions to a more typical Belgian spicy-malty aroma after some time. Definite crisp piney flavors to go along with the unique Belgian spiciness in the taste as well. Crisp, light bodied feel with a dry aftertaste that lingers. Unique flavors and wonderful aromas, combined with the light feel and relatively low alcohol content lend a hand to make this a very drinkable beer.

Stone Brewing Company - Stone IPA

One of the first brews that I ever reviewed so the content is not quite as descriptive as it should be or needs to be. I will have to pick up some of this soon and update this review.

Poured from the bottle into a standard pint glass, nice honey colored appearance with healthy head when poured. Slight cloudiness noticed. Fine bubbles with sticky characteristics. Enjoyable aroma, nothing extremely noticable, though it builds anticipation well. Great taste, slight bitterness detected though still thoroughly enjoyable. Interesting feel considerable carbonation with tight bubble texture on tongue. Thoroughly enjoyable and extremely drinkable, easily could have had several more.
